Lembaga Pengembangan Masyarakat (LPM) EQUATOR — the Community Development Foundation — was established on 5 January 1999 in Bogor, West Java. It brings together people who share the awareness and the spirit to develop and empower communities, in both rural and urban settings.

We believe a community should never be treated merely as the object of development, but as its subject: aware and capable of observing, analysing and resolving its own challenges on the way to prosperity. On that principle, LPM EQUATOR works alongside government, the private sector and social organisations across every aspect of community empowerment.

With a staff of trusted industry professionals with extensive experience in their fields, LPM EQUATOR is uniquely ready to help offer support and training to local individuals. The organisation is led by a Chairman and organised into three departments — Technical, HR & General Affairs, and Finance — with dedicated divisions for government and national assignments and for private and international assignments.
